Does AILA offer an Academic Adoption Process?
Yes. AILA offers instructors a simple way to adopt academic materials for their students. Here's how to obtain AILA course material for an academic class.
For more information on AILALink, visit the AILALink Page on AILA Shop or our Help Center article, What is AILALink?
Instructors assigning AILALink materials for a course may obtain a complimentary subscription to AILALink for the duration of that course by applying on the Academic Adoption page. In most cases, students may also access AILALink for free through a complimentary AILA Law Student membership. Visit AILA.org, click on "Research Tools," and then on Academic Adoption to begin.
Instructors should direct their students to visit the For Students Section of the Academic Adoption page at least three weeks before the course begins to obtain instructions for accessing AILA’s free and discounted student options. Law Student membership eligibility information can be found on our Academic Adoption page and on our Application Process and Eligibility Requirements page.
In the uncommon case where a student is either ineligible for Law Student membership or is unwilling to join AILA as a Law Student member, the student should contact AILALink@AILA.org to purchase print and eBook materials on AILA Shop with a 30% off discount code and/or purchase AILALink at the discounted student rate of $75 for the duration of a course.
If a title was recently published, it may not yet be available on AILALink. See a complete list of the titles currently available on AILALink.
