What is the nondeductible portion of my AILA membership dues?

It changes every year. Here's where to find tax information for your membership dues.

AILA dues are not deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes, although a portion of your dues may be deductible as a business expense. Based on our estimates for 2025, the nondeductible portion of your AILA National dues is 1.3%. That portion of your dues that is used for lobbying activities is not deductible.

Estimates of nondeductible Chapter dues can be found at AILA's Nondeductible Chapter Dues page. Contributions to the American Immigration Council, a 501(c)(3), may be deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
