Does AILA offer legal assistance to service members?

Yes, through AILA's Military Assistance Program (AILA MAP). Here's how to find assistance or volunteer to assist.

For those who meet the requirements, AILA MAP works to match a service member's case with a pro bono immigration attorney.

Service Members

Navigate to AILA.org. Click on "Resources" from the top menu, then on Military Assistance Program

Review the requirements for requesting assistance to ensure you qualify, and see the full details on the program.

If you meet all of the requirements listed, click the blue "Request Assistance" box on that page to begin your request, and include as much detail as possible so that we may better understand the case.

AILA Member Volunteers

Only active AILA Attorney Members may volunteer to assist with AILA MAP.

For full details on the program, log in to AILA.org, click on Connect and Get Involved from the top menu, and then on Pro Bono Opportunities from the drop-down menu.

Scroll down and click on Military Assistance Program.

From this page, you can complete an AILA MAP Volunteer Application, view cases, learn more about MAP, and more.

Contact ProBono@AILA.org for more information.
