Do I need a New York specific Certificate of Attendance? (New York Attorneys only)
It depends where the event is held. Here's when you'll need a New York specific Certificate of Attendance as a New York attorney.
The AILA National office will provide a New York Certificate of Attendance only for events that physically take place in the state of New York. All other programs that occur outside of the state of New York or take place virtually will utilize the New York State CLE Board Approved Jurisdiction Policy to determine the CLE hours available for New York attorney participation. The traditional AILA National CLE Certificate of Attendance will be sufficient evidence of attendance towards a New York attorney's compliance requirements.
Attorneys are still required to enter their CLE verification codes regardless of what type of certificate of attendance they will receive.
For instructions on reporting your credits using webCLE, see our Help Center article, How do I record CLE credits for an AILA program I've attended?
AILA staff members are at every in-person conference, or contact the AILA CLE Center at CLE@AILA.org.
