How do I send messages to a listserv?
It's as easy as sending an email. Here's how to communicate on any of AILA's listservs.
Visit https://www.aila.org/library/listserves for more information on AILA listservs.
AILA listservs exist entirely in emails. Your email to an AILA listserv will contain the abbreviated name with the “@lists.aila.org” suffix. For example, to send a message to the New Member Division listserv, you must send an email to nmd@lists.aila.org. To review your listservs and their settings, log into your account at AILA.org and click on the welcome message at the top-right.
This is your MyAILA page. Click on Review and change AILA listserv subscriptions to review your listservs and their settings.
Choose the listserv you wish to join and one of two delivery methods: Instant Updates or Daily Digest. With Instant Updates, you'll receive messages from that listserv instantly as they are sent. Daily Digests are a once-daily email which summarizes all of that listserv's activity for that day. Daily Digests are in Text format only and do not include any attachments that were posted to the individual listserv emails for the day. If attachments are important to you, please ensure the delivery method is set to Instant Updates instead. To join multiple listservs, click the plus button (+) and make your selection on the new line. Be sure to save any changes when you're done.
Some listservs are "Admin Only," meaning that only listserv administrators and chapter officers may post to that listserv. Only admins may post to the following chapter listservs:
Northern California
Chicago
Colorado
Connecticut
Central Florida
Michigan
New England
New York (New York City area)
Ohio
