How can I appear in one of AILA's lists of international attorneys?
There are some terms to know before you proceed. Here's how to appear in AILA's International Associate Directory or one of the Global Migration Section (GMS) lists.
The AILA International Associate Directory is a searchable list of AILA's International Associates (IAs), an affiliation of immigration attorneys who are licensed to practice law in a jurisdiction other than the United States. Visit https://www.aila.org/international-associate-benefits to learn more about IAs and this AILA affiliation type.
The GMS International Lawyers by Jurisdiction is a searchable list of both AILA attorney members and IAs who are licensed to practice law in a jurisdiction other than the United States. AILA members may request to join this list by sending their credentials to practice law in a jurisdiction outside the United States to Membership@AILA.org. Approved IAs automatically appear in this list.
The Global Migration Section (GMS) is not a member type or an affiliation. The GMS is a Section, a community of AILA members and IAs interested in furthering the practice of global migration. The Section is free to join for AILA members and IAs, and does not require an application to join. If you are interested in joining, log in to AILA.org and click on the welcome message at the top-right of the page to navigate to your My AILA page. Click Update Sections in the Membership pane.
Select Global Migration Section. Save your changes when you're done.
