I encountered a technical difficulty in a seminar, online course, or roundtable. How can I address it?
AILA is eager to resolve technical issues as soon as possible. Here's how to proceed.
Live Seminars and Seminar Recordings
Seminar recordings are available for viewing two weeks after the event. If you are unable to attend a live seminar or view a seminar recording, contact Teleconference@AILA.org.
For Online Courses and Roundtables
Please email eLearning@AILA.org. In your message, include:
- As much information as possible, including what browser you are using.
- Your Operating System and its version.
- What type of device you're using (Desktop, Mobile, Tablet, etc.).
- A screenshot of the issue.
- The name of the course.
- The name or code/number of the component.
Online Course Troubleshooting
- Try switching browsers. Sometimes browser extensions can cause issues with uploading files.
- Check to see if your browser is updated to the most recent version.
- Are you connecting through a VPN or Remote Desktop software to a work server? If so, try connecting directly to your local router/connection.
- Are you in a work or home environment? If you are in an office setting, try again on a different device (such as a mobile device not connected to wi-fi) to see if your work environment could be restricting your ability to upload.
- Are you on a work machine or personal device? If you're on a work machine, try connecting using a personal device in the same environment.
- Try clearing cookies/cache. Sometimes this can resolve the issue of uploads failing.
- What type of security software do you have installed on your machine? Sometimes those types of programs can restrict your ability to upload files.
