Can I apply for AILA membership or renew my membership if I do not meet the eligibility requirements?
You may need to apply for a membership criteria waiver. Here's how to proceed when you do not meet one or more AILA membership eligibility requirements.
Section 2.1(E) of AILA's Bylaws allow the Executive Committee to "waive any of the eligibility requirements of Membership with respect to any particular applicant upon the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the Executive Committee."

If you do not meet one or more AILA membership eligibility requirements, you may apply for a waiver of those requirements by submitting an AILA National Waiver Request Submission Form. Your request will be received by the AILA National Membership Committee, who will contact you as developments on your request occur. Please allow 4-6 weeks for final determination on your request.
